BLOGGING ON THE MOVE-The Edinburgh Festival 2015

Hello, let's give it a try. I have just eaten a lovely meal at the jollof  hub on, Chapel
Street , Edinburgh. Great West African food. Lamb chops, plantain, and jollof of rice. Chatted to a friendly guy sitting here but the next people weren't so cheery. I completed my second roll of film today. Great to be creative and play. I also visited two good record stores and got a Luther vandross album from the list. Lots of new dad's to watch. And on Friday I should sign the contract on the house. And move out on the 18th September.  One era ends and a new one begins. Blogging on the move could be here.KS

19th OCTOBER 2013 - SPACE!

Space is what I am creating over these weeks. Clearing out the draws; packing things away; washing the dust and grime away; finishing things off and then starting anew with other things. Thoughts, actions, objects - where ever the energy takes me. And also where I want to go.
Big yawn - U.S.A. fiscal cliff - jump off it.

Time for space and to stop and stare and create a life with a balance of care.
It is also time to enjoy and celebrate what I have. So stop and stare.

A poor life this is if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.

SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER - NOT MUCH TO SAY - THINKING ALOT.

Just back to good old Streatham. What to write about. Updated bits of the blog layout and pleased to be writing something every week.

CAMERON AND THE REAL FACE OF THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY.

Since Cameron took over their membership has plummeted. And at this week's conference we heard the real rhythm of the Conservative heartbeat. Let's attack the poor and most vulnerable in OUR society. Why shouldn't the unemployed pick up litter(it's what they are suited for)? That way the people employed to pick up litter can be sacked. And we need the empty bottles of booze(champagne in Tory land), burger wrappers and used condoms cleared. And if the unemployed do this work - what will become of the people who already have jobs doing it? Let's get young people too - they run around just getting flats and benefits. Luckily we still have bankers and business making lots of profits. They are the important ones because they bank roll the Tory party and provide their ministers with jobs after their time in Parliament.

How scary were those speeches by Osborne and Cameron - so contrived in their words, gestures and presentation. Looking directly into the camera, going red to show his earnest belief, emphasis with the hands and the opening his arms in a messiah like pose. Welcoming us all(except skivers and the jobless) to the new GREAT Britain. I watched Cameron and could see Tony Blair - rehearsed and staged and plastic and hoping that all the people in the focus group would like it.

We need jobs and houses to build or rebuild our economy and society. Work gives people a sense of belonging and ownership. It gives them the self-respect so many unemployed people I have met crave. JOBS, JOBS,JOBS.

Who speaks up for the poor and those at the bottom of the ladder. Where is ED when we need him?

HE'S NOT THE MESSIAH, HE'S A ....
METRO NEWSPAPER-25TH SEPTEMBER 2013

27TH SEPTEMBER 2013

At last I have an idea of what The Labour party stands for.
The plan to freeze energy prices set the business world shaking and trying to create a thunderous panic amongst the people at large - loss of jobs and investment. Code for loss of profit and loss of shareholder dividends. But the next day N-Power, one of the big six suppliers announces an offer of prices frozen until 2017. Cashing in on the moment and proving they can survive.
Keep going Ed - dare to be different or something other than a rerun on the New Labour experiment.

21st SEPTEMBER 2013

NOTHING MUCH TO WRITE TODAY. A cold laid me up for a few days.

I did notice UKIP showing it's true colours. They are like the Conservatives. They try and stuff their demons into a satchel and hide it in the cupboard. But the door was left ajar and someone always pops out. Like that embarrassing uncle who turns up at family functions and by his second Sherry is on a roll. While everyone shuffles uncomfortably in their seat and hopes he will fall asleep soon.

I also noticed how India can afford a space programme and has just tested a nuclear missile which could fire a warhead into China. New Delhi calls it a"deterrence for peace" in attempt to warn China about its ambitions in the Indian Ocean. How silent the International community was about that. But Iran can't have nuclear bombs. And India has a mass of people still consignedl to poverty. But bombs come first in our capitalist system.

And the deafening anti-Assad noise continues. While Al-Quaeda makes its mark in the area. And Israel continues to do whatever it fancies.

Labour will repeal the Bedroom Tax if they win power. At last they have something to do that isn't a copy of the Con-Dem coalition.

Anyway time for bed.
